The National Nutrition council is the lead agency for implementing the National Dietary Supplementation Program also known as Tutok Kainan.
The Province of Sulu is one of the beneficiaries of the TKDSP Phase 3, with 19 Barangays in 12 municipalities. Among these municipalities is the municipality of Jolo with two target Barangays (Bus-Bus and Tulay). On 23 February, 2023 the BLGU of Barangaya Tulay has launched the Tutuk Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program (TK-DSP) spearheaded by most active Chairwoman Hja. Francisca J. Hairal. With the all-out support of the Barangay Health Workers of the Barangay Health Station headed by Ms. Fatima Marida Kadil-Bara, the launching of the TKDSP was a success and attended by the beneficiaries along with their mothers. Present at the program were the National Nutrition Council staff deployed in Sulu, DMO II (PNFP) Sheehan A. Kadil, and also the Jolo Nutrition Officer, Ms. Sherwina Imdani of the Integrated Public Health Office (IPHO) of Sulu.

PALO, Leyte - The Scaling Up Nutrition or SUN Movement was founded on principle that all people have a right to food and good nutrition and focuses on first 1000 days of life.
The SUN 3.0 Movement Strategy focuses on demonstrating that the individual and collective efforts from the academic, business, civil society, development partners and youth sectors will contribute to accelerating nutrition results.
The Youth Network, led by its chair, An Waray Youth Director Ms. Diana Jane Saballe, held its first organizational meeting last February 17, 2022.

PALO, Leyte - All five municipalities and one city in Eastern Samar covered in the Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program for children kicked off the six months feeding on February 13, 2023.
Recipient local government units in the province are Dolores, Can-avid, Lawaan, Llorente, Balangiga, and Borongan City. A total of 60 children from each LGU, all between 6-23 months old were enrolled in the program.

PALO, Leyte - In line with implementation of Tutok Kainan: Dietary Supplementation Program (TK-DSP) under Phase 3, Tabango, Leyte funded an Idol Ko Si Nanay (IKSN) Learning Sessions from February 14-17, 2023.
The IKSN was participated by all Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs) and Rural Health Midwives (RHMs).
The above activity was part of the PPAs reflected in the approved 2023-2025 Municipal Nutrition Action Plan (MNAP) of the municipality. The said MNAP is integrated in the 2023 Annual Investment Program (AIP).
MNAO Joselito Arrogante skips the usual Training of Trainers (TOT) among health workers but instead directly conducted to both BNSs and RHMs. This was done to save time and money.
IKSN Learning Sessions for the First 1000 Days was developed by the National Nutritional Council in response to the need to strengthen a holistic community- based intervention through nutrition education and promotion for behavior change.

PALO, Leyte - Evelyn Jabonete, the Municipal Nutrition Action Officer of Calbiga town in Samar, has led the first day implementation of the dry feeding of the Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program Phase 3 on February 13, 2023.
Alongside her were Nurses Deployment Projects (NDP), two Nutrition Staff, with Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNSs) and Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) who assisted in the orientation and facilitation of the feeding.
An Orientation to the caregivers and parents of the beneficiaries were given explaining the duration and purpose of the feeding program.

PALO, Leyte - The National Nutrition Council 8 has convened for its first regional meeting of the Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) movement at the Felipina Hall, NEDA building here on February 16, 2023.
The meeting was attended by the ABCD-Y networks: academe, business, civil society organization (CSOs), development partners (DPs) and youth sectors. Each of the network was represented by their respective lead convenor.
The lead convenor of the academic network is Visayas State University (VSU), business is Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI), CSO by Rise and Rebuild Foundation, DPs by Save the Children and for the youth network by An Waray.
The meeting was presided by RNPC Dr. Catalino P. Dotollo, Jr. DMO II Gerico A. Sabalza presented the PPAN 2023-2028 and its PPAs where the networks can choose array of menu.
