6 March 2023, Cagayan de Oro City – The National Nutrition Council (NNC) X has been accepting on-the-job training program for BS Nutrition and Dietetics students since 2015. This year, for the first time, the agency receives two (2) on-the-job trainees for the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) Program from Bukidnon State University (BSU) Talisayan Campus. The BSBA students, namely: Ms. Mary Rose Tin-ao and Ms. Jenesel Unson will complete 400 hours of immersion in the Administration Program.

Ms. Tin-ao and Ms. Unson started their practicum last 1 March 2023. An orientation was also conducted to discuss about NNC and BSBA OJTs’ tasks during their internship program. Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator Gladys Mae S. Fernandez spearheaded the orientation conducted last 2 March 2023 at the NNC X Office.

During their immersion, the students are expected to familiarize the government financial forms and procurement processes. Likewise, they will be exposed to effective organizational and resource management systems, including preparation on administrative matters for the conduct of NNC X’s activities.

With this internship program, NNC X hopes to equip the students by gaining knowledge and skills to optimize their potential for their future endeavors. (Development Management Officer II Arlie Joy O.
