The Nutriskwela Community Radio Network is a strategy of the National Nutrition Council to address hunger and malnutrition using radio as channel of communication in areas with high prevalence of malnutrition. Nutriskwela community radio station is facilitated through a Memorandum of Agreement between NNC and the identified local government unit or state university or college.
There are four (4) Nutriskwela Community Radio stations in MIMAROPA namely, Radyo Kaunlaran in Bansud, Oriental Mindoro, Radyo Kamalindig in Buenavista, Marinduque, Radyo Kasimanwa in Coron, Palawan, and Radyo Kapalayawan in Paluan, Occidental Mindoro.

The National Nutrition Council MIMAROPA, headed by NPC Ma. Eileen Blanco spearheaded the conduct of Local Nutrition Early Warning System for Food and Nutrition Security (LNEWS-FNS) Program Implementation Review (PIR) on 18 November 2022 via Zoom Application. A total of 20 attendees from municipalities of Abra de Ilog, Occidental Mindoro; Coron, Palawan; and Narra, Palawan participated in the activity.

NNC MIMAROPA Region successfully conducted the 2022 Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony at the Hotel Lucky Chinatown, Manila on 29 November 2022. The special nutrition event was graced by our Keynote Speaker, Dr. Imelda Angeles-Agdeppa, Director of DOST-FNRI and RD Mario S. Baquilod, Chair of the Regional Nutrition Committee.
Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol or MELLPI Pro is the monitoring and evaluation mechanism for the implementation of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition at the local government units and its local nutrition focal points. It measures program efficiency in relation to program, outreach, budget allocation and expenditure, as well as policies issued.
