05112022 Updated MELLPI Pro Tools for City Municipality and LNFPs now available
The updated Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation (MELLPI) Pro tools for local government units at the City/Municipality level and Local Nutrition Focal Points such as Municipal Nutrition Action Officer and Municipal Nutrition Program Coordinator are now available for use which can be accessed at

MELLPI Pro tools were updated this year from the results of the program implementation review conducted last 2-3 and 11 February 2022 incorporating the comments of the members of National Nutrition Evaluation Team and selected staff of NNC central and regional offices.

MELLPI Pro is the monitoring and evaluation mechanism for the implementation of the Philippine Plan of Action for Nutrition at the local level conducted annually by the interagency nutrition evaluation team at the national, regional, and local levels. It is designed to monitor and evaluate the performance of local government units (LGUs) and Local Nutrition Focal Points (LNFPs) in promoting nutrition security vis-à-vis nutrition outcomes.

The monitoring and evaluation system for the local government units aims to measure the contribution of the LGUs to the PPAN targets and outcomes. It also assesses the performance the local nutrition focal points including Nutrition Action Officers, Local Nutrition Program Coordinators and Barangay Nutrition Scholars as part of their capacity development.

Results of the MELLPI Pro aim to guide policy and decision-makers in enhancing their nutrition products, services and delivery systems towards improved effectiveness, efficiency, and sustainability.
