Tampok ang matagumpay na paglulunsad ng unang araw ng implementasyon ng “Tutok Kainan Dietary Supplementation Program” sa siyudad ng Trece Martirez sa Cavie na isinagawa sa White House Covered Court, Golden Horizon noong Pebrero 16.
Sa kabuuan, 600 ang benepisyaryong mga batang 6-23 buwan ang matutlungan ng nasabing programa mula sa: Lungsod ng Trece Martirez at Imus; at mga bayan ng General Emilio Aguinaldo; Indang; Maragondon; Mendez-Nuñez; Naic; Noveleta; Tanza; at Ternate.
Ang programa ay tatakbo sa loob ng anim na buwan (katumbas ng 180 na araw) -- at inaasahang matapos sa Agosto 2023. Sa loob ng programa ay may supply ng supplementary foods ang mga bata na alinsunod sa itinalagang buwanang cycle menu ng dry feeding mula Lunes hanggang Linggo, mula NNC Central Office.

True to its dedicated mission of intensifying the mobilization and generation of more LGUs capable of implementing better quality nutrition programs in Region IV-A -- the “Tagaytay City LHEARN Team” successfully conducted two (2) face-to-face LHEARN sessions in Quezon Province.
There were a total of 59 participants from two (2) LGUs of Quezon Province who attended the LHEARN sessions and they consist of department heads and representatives. They include the aspiring Nutrition Champions from Sariaya Municipal Nutrition Committee (MNC) and Tayabas City Nutrition Committee (CNC). They are both awardees of the Green Banner Seal of Compliance in last year’s Regional Nutrition Awarding Ceremony.

The officers of the Federation of Barangay Nutrition Scholars (FBNS) IV-A Inc. strategized their plans for this year during its first virtual meeting last January 30. Calabarzon RNPC, Carina Z. Santiago gave her full support for the plans and endeavors of the FBNS.
Among the activities mapped out for the year 2023 were: the conduct of a Virtual BNS Convention; fund-raising activity through the sale of raffle tickets; team building for FBNS IV-A officers; Amendment of By-Laws; renewal of SEC Registration; collection of annual dues; official turnover of documents and cash by the outgoing FBNS Treasurer; and provision of uniform for FBNS IV-A Officers.

With a hopeful vision of promoting global awareness and call to action to “Leave No One Behind” in giving top priority to food security in building a sustainable future -- the NNC Calabarzon joins Region IV-A leaders, communities, families and stakeholders, in the celebration of the World Food Day.
The celebration brings such a timely challenge to rise above adversities for all the families of Region IV-A who are at high risk of malnutrition because of food insecurity, recent recession and the multiple hurdles posed by the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The “First Nutrition Action Officers’ Association of the Philippines (NAOPA) General Assembly” was successfully completed last January 24 and was spearheaded by NNC Calabarzon together with NAOPA Calabarzon Chapter President, PNAO Teresita S. Ramos.
The general assembly was attended by a total of 100 participants composed of Provincial, City and Municipal NAOs and the NNC Secretariat, via zoom.
